Dr. Mithun Sivadasan joined Yale Podiatry Group in 2019. He was born and raised in Long Island, NY. He received his Bachelors of Science in Integrative Neuroscience from SUNY Binghamton University. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA where he received his doctorate.

He then returned to NY and completed a Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with added credentials in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery at Mondefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY. During his residency, he trained under various departments within the large academic institution including Podiatric Surgery, Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgery, and Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. He has received training in diverse and innovative conservative and surgical treatment options including extracorporeal shock wave therapy for the treatment of heel pain, minimally invasive bunion surgery, and the use of Botox for hyperhidrosis. Dr.S’s special interests include diabetic foot care, wound care, sports medicine, and reconstructive foot surgery.

Dr.S has recently presented research on the topic of treating pyoderma gangrenosum at the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing Annual Conference and performed a nationwide survey study on the “Awareness of Common Implant Costs Among Podiatric Surgeons” which was presented at Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Sivadasan is a specialist for RubiconMD, one of the nation’s largest eConsult companies. He is the first podiatrist ever to join their company as a consultant to manage podiatry cases across the country on their platform. He is able to improve patient care plans and decrease healthcare costs by reducing the number of unnecessary appointments and emergency room visits through RubiconMD. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. He is board qualified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. He is also board qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

He currently lives in Stamford, CT. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his family and friends, attend concerts and travel internationally.
